1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Zufan Purchase mobile application and related services (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The Service
Zufan Purchase helps Ethiopian VAT-registered businesses:
- Scan and store purchase receipts
- Extract purchase data using automated tools
- Track input VAT by reporting period
- Export Excel reports aligned with common ERCA filing workflows
- Receive optional filing deadline reminders
The Service is a record-keeping and reporting tool. It does not file taxes on your behalf and does not replace professional tax advice.
3. Accounts
- You must sign in with a valid Google account.
- You are responsible for information entered about your business and purchases.
- You must keep your account access secure and notify us of unauthorised use.
- You may manage one or more companies according to your plan and app features.
4. Plans, billing & refunds
Free and paid plans (subscriptions, scan packs, and custom arrangements) are described in the app and on our website. Prices may change with notice where required.
- Free plan includes limited monthly scans and receipt storage.
- Paid features are activated after successful payment verification in the app.
- Refunds are handled according to Google Play policies and our support review process.
5. AI extraction & your responsibility
Receipt data is extracted automatically and may contain errors. You must review amounts, VAT, TINs, dates, and vendor details before saving and before filing with ERCA. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of your tax filings and compliance with Ethiopian tax law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or fraudulent receipts
- Attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, or disrupt the Service
- Upload content that infringes others’ rights or contains malware
- Circumvent scan limits, storage limits, or payment requirements
7. Intellectual property
The app, branding, and software are owned by Zufan and its licensors. You retain ownership of your business data and receipt content. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service.
8. Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular tax outcome. We do not warrant that extracted data will be error-free or that reports will be accepted by any authority.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zufan shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, penalties, or tax assessments arising from your use of the Service or reliance on exported reports.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Provisions that should survive termination (including disclaimers and liability limits) will remain in effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts in Ethiopia unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
